Finding God wherever I am

I felt it a great privilege to be guided by William Barry through Lent of 2015. It was though he was my spiritual director during this time, helping me to experience my friendship with God at a deeper level, and living the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius. I love the spirituality of Ignatius and needed to be reminded that I will find God wherever I am. All I need to do is pay attention, "and consider paying attention an effective form of prayer" (Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent). "God, grant me the grace in the midst of my daily distractions to pause and pay attention, and in so doing, be aware that you love me.", is my daily prayer after this very special walk with the triune God during Lent. I have read William Barry's "A Friendship Like no Other - Experiencing God's Amazing Embrace" which was in itself the most wonderful experience. The Lenten Meditations: Growing in Friendship with God, was as it says: the opportunity to grow in my friendship with God. These meditations are written in such a way that you can use it again and again during Lent and discover new riches every time you read it.
