Basic easy to read guide tthat I can keep at my fingertips. At 99 cents this is a bargain and especially since you can only do so much in one day at a theme park. This guide allowed me to focus the day better by avoiding one or two areas that might not be as fun as a couple of other events. The tips on planning ahead for Frozen was good. This is not the secrets book - but then again it wasn't meant to be. It is a guide to give information and perspective and I'm glad I bought it. The tips on when to visit so that the wait times are short was useful. Especially when it comes to the Frozen attractions and the Big Wheel.

An illuminating guide that has all the information necessary for making my family's vacation fun and enjoyable

I recently bought this guide so that I can navigate Disney easier and with greater ease. To my surprise, it offered more than just that. The author breaks down the rides and the details of what to do in order to have the best experience. For example, she says to make sure and bring coins for the Radiator Springs Racers Wishing Well; something I wouldn’t have thought prior. Also the insight for Ariel’s Undersea Adventure was welcome as well. Now I know the best places for photography and creating wonderful memories for our family to keep when we get back. The Crown Jewel Theater seems like a blast and now I will make sure we have a fastpass in order for my kids to experience it. Finally, the tips provided have illuminated me and my wife on what to do in case of small issues or how to make the experience as a whole much more easy.

I’m thankful for this guide and because of the detailed insights contained within it, my family are even more excited to experience the wonderful rides and shows that this adventure is going to provide us.

This is the best guidebook I have ever used

The Blue Guide is designed to serve travelers who prioritize the history and archaeology of sites. The ground plans are particularly helpful. The book covers well-known sites, e.g. Petra, as well as places off the beaten track, e.g. Qasr Burqu. The directions are usually clear. There were only a few times I was not able to match the directions with what I saw, which may have been caused by factors beyond the authors' control. The newest edition contains accurate and up to date information, even for the opening hours of the Jordan Museum. This is the best guidebook I have ever used. I would recommend it to anyone serious about history and archaeology.

Finding God wherever I am

I felt it a great privilege to be guided by William Barry through Lent of 2015. It was though he was my spiritual director during this time, helping me to experience my friendship with God at a deeper level, and living the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius. I love the spirituality of Ignatius and needed to be reminded that I will find God wherever I am. All I need to do is pay attention, "and consider paying attention an effective form of prayer" (Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent). "God, grant me the grace in the midst of my daily distractions to pause and pay attention, and in so doing, be aware that you love me.", is my daily prayer after this very special walk with the triune God during Lent. I have read William Barry's "A Friendship Like no Other - Experiencing God's Amazing Embrace" which was in itself the most wonderful experience. The Lenten Meditations: Growing in Friendship with God, was as it says: the opportunity to grow in my friendship with God. Well organized

The book is well organized so that it is easy to find certain types of information about each city. You can tell in a glance if the city has public transportation, a low crime rate, a hospital that takes Medicare, what the average price of housing is, and whether the residents tend to be liberal or conservative politically. I found that to be very helpful.

We visited one of the cities, Palm Bay. I thought we would love it from the description in the book, but we were not fond of it. That of course, is personal taste . I don't think the information in the book was wrong. The author just seemed to like the city more than we did on our first visit.

Concise Descriptions of Potential Retirement Places

Kris Kelley has done an excellent job of packing a great deal of information into small spaces. each with a flavor of personal observation. Catagories such as "Cost of Living" and "Median Home Price" are essential to any search for a suitable retirement localce; and "Political Climate" is a helpful consideration seldom found in similar retirement guides. The author has also included drawbacks as well as positive incentives for considering each place.

This concise guide is an excellent starting point for anyone contemplating a move to a less expensive venue for their golden years. I highly recommend it.

Great book, very worthwhile.

My one disappointment is that so many of the towns have climate hazards, such as increased risk of tornados or hurricane, but I guess that is why these areas are so "affordable". Another short-coming is that, while the book lists median housing prices, it does not list median rental costs. I also wish this existed as a print book, in addition to Kindle. Not everyone has a Kindle. However, I was very impressed with the areas that were covered in this book. Not only does it list basics like housing, weather, crime, and cost of living, it also lists less-covered items, such as Political Leanings and whether there is a library and public transportation. It also gives at least a few paragraphs telling about what the town is like (warning at times about areas with heavy tourist traffic) and what other amenities are nearby. All in all, I strongly recommend this book.

First, this is a small book but one of high quality. All pages are glossy and do a good job of showing off the many photographs. The low price for such a quality book is somewhat unusual.

Next, if you’re planning a trip to Paris, this book would be a useful companion. It’s small and has references of places the locals go and see you won’t find anywhere else.

The many photographs of art and sites to see are reasons enough for us to recommend this book.

While we wouldn’t buy this book just for its easy reading style of writing, it’s nice to have so much information presented in a manner that is both interesting and personal.

We would read this book again before heading off to Paris, and refer to it frequently while we were there.
