About the Author
Stuart Watkins has spent many many vacations on various Hawaiian Islands. The most recent visits have been to Kona. He has published Arizona: 100 Years, 100 Poems, 100 Poets to celebrate Arizona's 100th year of statehood. Black and White are only Shades of Gray, or so they say is a collection of his poems, short stories, and memoirs. An Occurrence Near Eugene, Oregon is a story about a lumberjack meeting a beast and the revenge the beast took. The House That Ran Away is about a house that was upset that it was so neglected and all the noise the kids made running up and down the stairs. The house decided to run away and find a place of peace and quiet. The family found the house and finally persuaded it to return. This is a fun book to read to children and grandchildren. Another book is about real estate, called Stuart Watkins and Steele 300. Great for investors and real estate agents. Stuart is a retired teacher and is currently President of the Tucson Poetry Society. He is a Board member of the Arizona Poetry Society, a member of the Society of Southwestern Authors, and a member of the SaddleBrooke Writer's Club. He has published many real estate articles, poems, and enjoys the effects written words can play on the emotions of the reader.

A Taste Of Kona

I have been to Maui but after seeing this book I want to check out Kona. Stuart Watkins gives us a taste of Kona on just one road on the island through a collection of beautiful photographs and light, carefree descriptions. One gets the feel of actually being there upon reading, seeing this book reveling all that this gorgeous place has to offer.
